Inspired by the iconic tingkat — a symbol of connection, nourishment, and care in Peranakan culture, The Tingkat Tales take you through the different tiers of the Tingkat on a treat for the senses, steeped in tradition and classic Peranakan spices.
Tier 1: 30 Minutes Candlenut Skin Renewal
We begin with a gentle exfoliation using the creamy richness of the buah keras, or Candlenut. Revered in Peranakan kitchens for its ability to bind flavours, the detoxifying candlenut here binds wellness to your skin. This rice-based scrub gently exfoliates your skin, unveiling a smooth glow with the help of coconut. Look forward to being enveloped in a comforting warmth, akin to opening the first tier of a lovingly prepared tingkat meal.
Tier 2: 60 Minutes The Crisp Awakening
With firm and intentional pressure, The Crisp Awakening, a 60-minute massage, utilises the aromatic oil of Lemongrass and Kaffir lime leaves to ease tension and restore balance. Bearing the crisp and bright scent of these spices, it gently nods to the ever-so-vibrant yet harmonious flavours of a Peranakan meal.
Tier 3: 30 Minutes Zesty Infusion
Ending off the sensorial feast comes the Zesty Infusion that infuses you in a bounty of fragrant spices. Imagine the fragrance of the curries you love— Kaffir Lime releasing their bright, zesty aroma while Lemongrass infuses the air with its fresh, invigorating scent. As the warm water envelops you, it reduces pain, inflammation, and water retention as it closes the tale with a sense of renewal, much like how you would feel savouring the last bite of an unforgettable meal.
